Nintendo ds games for small children 3-4 years

4 months ago I stood in the situation that I had to find a birthday gift for my child and after prolonged deliberations, it was for a Nintendo DS.

One of the unanswered questions was whether there was any good games for smaller children aged 3-4 years, after prolonged search, we purchased the games Mario Karts DS and The Legend of Zelda.

It quickly became clear that The Legend of Zelda was not interesting but Mario Karts was absolutely a hit, even though he could not steer the cart alone and had to be helped - but definitely a fun game for the ages.

Since then, we had bought lots of different Nintendo DS Games and to make it easier for other parents who want to find the right game for the age group I will list the games here that have and still are the most popular for him.

Course may be a difference in what children find interesting and exciting, therefore, this list will only be viewed as an indicative list and is probably mostly for boys, although several of the games are definitely for both boys and girls.

After having seen my son trying to play the game first purchased I noted reasonably quickly when you are 3-4 years it is a clear advantage if the games are simple to manage and simultaneously start without you first need to press through a myriad of table bubbles like most children in this age group still do not understand.

1. Sonic Rush

A game which is easy to get started with and where the child can easily manage without losing lives all the time that happens a lot on the screen in a huge traffic with exciting graphics.

2. New Super Mario Bros.
Very similar to Sonic Rush since it is also a platform game, and therefore in most cases, management simple and child friendly. The game has a little more fun phrases ie. that one can be huge and trample over half the court. However, it is just a little harder than Sonic Rush as you die more often

3. Cocoto Kart Racer

A fun and simple racing game where steering is easy and the graphics are reasonable. Sometimes it is simply the best.

4. Battle Of Giants Dinosaurs

It sounds killing, but actually it's not a very scary game and it is both educationally and fun to walk around and fight against other dinosaurs. But initially it should be played with an adult so the maps can be learned. Good to train motor skills when one must draw "combat lines". I do not know why - but all the children just love dinosaurs.

5. Mario Karts DS

I have to add Mario Karts on the list because it was the first game that really entertained my son, even though he had to get some help with steering. A really fun and very nice game with alot of speed over the field, and you get to play with your child - at least in the beginning.
